About the Item

A gorgeous four-panel Japanese/Chinese/Asian Byobu folding screen depicting a landscape cherry blossom tree branch scene with a flock of playful birds and blooming Spring flowers. It is quite a wonderful composition. The hand painted detail (notice the intricately painted hues of the bird's feathers) and vivid colors make this piece quite an attractive work. The screen is signed (in black ink) and sealed (in red) by the artist. Set in a beautiful heavy wood frame with original decorative period brass hardware that adds another wonderful touch. An eye catching work, this screen would make for a great addition to any Asian screen collection or be sure to stand out in almost any setting whether used as a room divider or hung on the wall as a work of art.
