Rare and unusual Japanese late Edo period two-panel screen depicting small boats on a riverbank hidden in a mist shrouded landscape. Made with ink and natural color pigments on gold leaf squares with faded dark silver leaf flecks decorating the scene. The screen is set in a wood frame with a green silk brocade border decorated with gilt.
