Charming Japanese Showa period two-panel folding byobu screen featuring an embroidered silk picture of beautiful gift boxes. Stunning pattern of Hanaguruma (flower cart) laden with decorated Asian game boxes tied with peach colored tassels. The silhouettes are against a ground of stylized waves (seigaha) and fan shapes with furthur auspicious motifs. Set in a natural wooden frame with an interesting green silk border that adds contrast and character to the mid-century style.
