Chinese 19th Century Qing Dynasty Bronze Crane Form Censer

About
An unusual Chinese bronze censer in the form of a crane, Qing dynasty, late 19th century.
The noble bird is portrayed with a strong sense of motion - standing in a walking stance upon a rocky outcrop with wings folded against its body, its long neck held high, head turned, and beak open.
The folded wings lift off to reveal the censer. The small vent at the top of the lid would force the smoke upwards through the hollow neck, exiting through the opened beak.
Cranes in Chinese culture are auspicious animals, often associated with longevity.
