Chinese Calligraphy Brush Bamboo Scroll Poems
About the Item
A very large, 17" Chinese calligraphy brush with carved bamboo handle. The handle is a bamboo scroll featuring three meticulously carved ancient poems, two written by the most important poet Li Bai from the Tang Dynasty; one by Li Yu, Chinese Emperor of Hou Tang Dynasty. Poems describe love and friendship. This special piece functions as a painting or calligraphing brush, and makes a scholastic or organic design element. Bone ferrule and horse hair. Remarkable condition, brush was never used.
