Here's a beautiful and unique way to accent your indoor or outdoor garden space with this treasure from Japan!
This is a tall five piece carving in solid granite of one of Japan's great historic architectural forms - the mountain minka or Kusaya farmhouse crafted as a wonderful and useful stone lantern.
It is the first we have seen complete with its original custom carved tall base
Hand carved from solid granite and sourced from an old Japanese garden,
it measures 50 inches high and 20 inches wide, is portable (five pieces)
This is a fine quality example with an amazingly detailed roof line - visually beautiful and appealing.
Many of our customers place oil candles inside the main section making a romantic and enjoyable decorative accent for entertaining friends and family. It's a perfect choice for your indoor or outdoor garden space. Notice the very nice patina from age.
This lantern is one-of-a-kind and comes from an old Northern Kyoto Japanese garden.
