Japanese Huge Pair Hand Painted Garden Swans

About the Item

Magnificent Swan Pair "Mates for Life" A fine matched pair (2) of large scale Japanese original hand-cast and hand painted garden swans from the 1930s-1940s with detailed plumage, heads, beaks, tails, webbed feet, and wings. Swans form monogamous pair bonds that last for many years, and in some cases can last for life. Their loyalty to their mates is so storied that the image of two swans swimming with their necks entwined in the shape of a heart has become a recognized love symbol. Original and accurate life like hand painted finish make these treasures special works of art for your cherished display space or favorite garden location. These sculptures are in remarkably fine condition just the way we like to discover them. Today these older works of art still serve as eye appealing and wonderful indoor or outdoor garden sculpture, beautifully conceived decorative accents that are rarely found today. Dimensions: 26 inches tall and 25 inches length, heavy Hand cast and Original Hand Paint. Provenance: Old American garden collection. History of Swans: Swans form monogamous pair bonds that last for years, and in some cases for life. Some species of swan will change partners after a poor breeding season or nest failure and seek out another partner but they are generally renowned as symbols of lifelong fidelity and devotion. Lifetime guarantee of authenticity. We are members of NAJGA- North American Japanese Garden Association.
