Big Hand Cast Bronze Bell Bold with a most pleasant resonating sound Beautiful resonating ring tones await the new owner of this big one-of-a-kind vintage bronze bell from old Japan. Its beautiful natural patina makes it an attractive and desirable work of art. This distinctive dragon headed bell called ryuzu and remarkable protrusions called chi chi or nyu are crafted by generations old skilled Japanese specialists to improve sound resonance and are unique to Japan's ancient traditions. This vintage hand cast bronze temple bell dates to the middle Showa period, mid-20th century. A scarce survivor, this rugged bell was gently used. Please note its impressive cast dragon headed top ryuzu, thick walls and original blue gray toned patina. Dimensions: 18 inches tall and 10 inches diameter. It has been used and possesses an original aged patina appropriate to its age-just the way we like to find them. Its beautiful resonating sound is guaranteed to please you. The ringing resonation of this bell brings to the Japanese people - the voice of Buddha- is even more impressive because of its thick walls (see photo).     Huge 43 inch high Japanese Bronze Treasure Masterwork Suited for a museum, special indoor gallery space, or garden comes this Japanese superbly hand cast solid bronze fortune treasure boat "Takarabune" in full sail proudly brandishing images of the seven lucky gods on hull and three messengers of fortune on sail: plum tree, bamboo, and pine. Its ships' hold bursts with gold, sake, coral, jewels, and a full purse. During the first three days of the New Year the Seven Lucky Gods are said to pilot through the heavens to human ports as the Takarabune or Treasure Ship. As it sails into town bringing good fortune, the takarabune is celebrated in a New Year's tradition in Japan, especially by hopeful businesses.
