Pair of Vintage Stone Court Lady Statues
About the Item
A pair of 20th century solid stone court lady statues. The full face is with long slender eyes under arched brows flanking a strong straight nose. Hair held tightly away from the face, gathered into a smooth coiffure, anchored by a wide pin above the forehead. The ladies wear long robes with wide sleeves with hands held just below chest level in a formal, respectful gesture. The statues are modeled after the Han dynasty sculptures, and hand carved of solid stone. Standing at 4 feet tall and in remarkable condition, these astounding pieces will grace your home and garden with a high level of elegance and sophistication.
