A vintage Thai lost-wax bronze reclining Buddha on base, inspired by the Wat Pho temple Buddha in Bangkok. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) that allows a great precision in the details, this vintage Thai reclining Buddha sculpture is inspired by the stunning Phra Buddhasaiyas, the golden reclining Buddha of the Wat Pho temple in Bangkok. The reclining position represents the entry of Buddha into Nirvana and the end of all reincarnations. The serene face of this sculpture showcases the traditional Thai Buddha characteristics, such as the high conic headdress and large ears. With its serene presence, this Thai bronze reclining Buddha sculpture will be a great decorative addition to any home and an undeniable conversation piece.
