This wood carving set depicts mythical characters that are popular amid "Wayang" puppet shows. "Wayang" is a type of shadow puppet show originating from the island of Java, Indonesia. These puppets were used to tell dramatic mythological stories. They also feature hand-painted pigment in red, white and black. They feature hooks on their top side allowing them to be wall-mounted.
