Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Bronze Dore Fireplace Chenets
About the Item
Decorate a fireplace with this elegant pair of neoclassical antique chenets. Crafted in France, circa 1840, each andiron features exquisite ornate decorations including a large urn with flame finial top, decorated with swag ribbons around, and a smaller similar urn at the other end. Both chenets are further embellished with floral, grape and leaf decor. The fireplace essentials are in excellent condition with a luxurious patinated gilt finish. They could also be converted into fabulous table lamps.
