About the Item

The presented parquet is extra ordinary for its unusual veneer inlay work of oak and maple. Due to this combination the pattern is depicting a finely woven floral grid The main idea behind the use of mainly oak veneer was to create ever-changing light reflections on the parquet's surface. This magical effect is due to the different offsets of the veneer parts and is additionally enhanced by the unique patina. The presented panels are in their original condition and can be adjusted to the buyers preferences. This could mean rough but restored panels with the full beauty of their original patina or carefully sanded floorings for total comfort. Also the color tone can be slightly adjusted, still preserving the valuable patina, but giving many possibilities to fit the atmosphere of a space. Being the first supplier of antique parquet floors in Europe, we have decades long experience in restoring, dealing and laying historical wood floors under the direction of the restorer Thomas Reiner (Member of the Austrian and German restorers chamber). We regard historical parquet floors as a unique addition to each project. Therefore we are keen to discuss every aspect with you and your technical advisor. Traces of wear and tear are regarded as valuable patina, once the floor is professionally preserved and statically intact. We naturally comply to our clients preferences and carefully adjust the surface according to their wishes (e.g. original, lacquered or carefully sanded) The thickness of the panels can be slightly adjusted to fit your project’s needs.
