Diafana kitchen hood by Lluis Clotet & Oscar Tusquets
Dimensions: D 50 x W 90 x H 60 cm
Materials: Motor housing, exit pipes, elbows, reduces, and grease collector tray in polished stainless steel. Flexible pipes and filters in aluminum. Cast aluminum wall fixture. Extractor hood in transparent methacrylate. Joints and supports in oil-resistant rubber.
Since then, the models have evolved - incorporating technical improvements and have been adapted to new consumer and prescriber needs. The Diáfana is a more recent model of them all. It continues to have the peculiarity of a transparent hood which according to its designers, allows you to see what is being cooked whilst the fumes are absorbed. Golden Delta Award 1979 winner. Silver Delta Award 1997 winner. Lluís Clotet and Oscar Tusquets designed the first extractor hoods available on the Spanish market in the early ’70s.
The hood includes a reducer of Ø188 to Ø150mm.

In 1972, a group of young architects and designers from Barcelona created BD with the aim of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for our projects, with complete creative freedom and with a criterion that has turned out to be quite different from the norm at companies in the sector, regarding both the shape and function.
