Early 19th Century Round Millstone Table from Sicily

About

A round heavy natural stone table, circa 1825. The top is carved of a 19th century antique granite Millstone from Sicily, Italy and was used to grind olives. The round base is made of granite which was added at a later date. These millstones were already used in the Egyptian society 20 B.C. Top 31" diameter x thickness 6". Total height 32". 23" diameter of column base.
