Frank Lloyd Wright 1970 Relief in Solid Cast Dark Grey Concrete and Metal Frame

About the Item

This rich and heavy concrete relief with the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright image witch he used for his famous 1924 Ennis House ( Backdrop the film Blade Runner) in the Los Angeles area was saved from a renovation of a bar in Copenhagen. It was part of the interior design of the bar since the 1970's. The relief is in good condition and have been accompanied with a black steel frame with wire for hanging by a local blacksmith. The surface resembles the tone of graphite and plays in a very interesting way with the movement of daylight. It is a strong image and contributes elegantly to the tactility of the interior design. Frank Lloyd Wright was a great originator and a highly productive architect. He designed some 800 buildings, of which 380 were actually built. UNESCO designated eight of them—including Fallingwater, the Guggenheim Museum, and Unity Temple—as World Heritage sites in 2019.
