About the Item
A fine pair of architectural solid wooden carved winged putti with paint and gesso surface, one in a praying position and one with outstretched arms and legs. Probably Venetian, dating to the 17th century in good overall condition, with some paint and gesso losses, arm repairs, finger and other edge losses and imperfections commensurate with age and use. Each base has been felted recently. Dimensions: Left putti: Approximately 20.75 in H x 8 in W x 9 in D; Right Putti: 22 in H x 21 in W x 7.75 in D. Ref: 787
