Antique French Neoclassical 'Ceres' Fireback / Backsplash

19th century French neoclassical fireback with the goddess Ceres. Goddess of agriculture (particularly grain) and the maternal love. Ceres is flanked by two pillars of liberty. They stand for one of the three values of the French Revolution.
The fireback has a black / pewter patina.
