French 19th Century Forged Iron Andirons

About the Item

This pair of hand forged iron andirons comes from 19th century France. Used to support logs, these L shaped brackets are simply constructed. The tops are formed like open baskets above matching drop rings. A unique detail on the front of the andirons, a forged place for roasting sticks to cook over the fire with. Although they are over a hundred years old, they match well with contemporary or antique decor. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look.
