17th Century French Marble Mantel

About the Item

A fantastic hand carved marble mantel, circa 1670. This elegantly carved marble fireplace mantel was removed from a chateau in Crissey, in the Franche-Comte´ Region of Eastern France. The mantel is made of red marble from Burgundy, France and black marble from Belgium. Weight is estimated at 2,500–3,000 pounds. Firebox measures 31" x 37".
