19th Century Tiled Cast Iron Fireplace Insert
About the Item
19th Century tiled cast iron fireplace insert.
A fine example of English Victoriana. Made in England circa 1880.
Burnished relief to the decorative hood showing boy face & foliage, bars and patterned trim with blackened finish to fire back and outer areas.
Recently salvaged from a London city town house and refinished to its former glory.
Original ceramic glazed lily tiles with half tortoise shell border tiles included.
