About the Item
A large antique black marble fireplace with coloured Brocattele marble panels and mouldings.
The black marble pilasters and arch spandrels have recessed and inlaid panels of semi-precious Spanish Brocattella marble. The layered Brocattella mouldings under the deep mantel-shelf are overlaid with cubes of black marble which form a dentil moulding cornice.
