About the Item
Cantini was a sculptor and patron of the arts. With an inset bronze medallion, marked Jules Cantini, Marseille, this piece was finely hand carved in sea green marble. Displaying lovely white striation, this impressive chimney features a small mantel surmounting a concave frieze that displays stout fluting. The firebox surround is nicely moulded, exhibiting a very architectural presence. The wonderful color and unusual design make this piece choice.
