Antique Pine Georgian style Fireplace Surround
About the Item
A carved pine fireplace surround of 19th Century date, in an earlier 18th Century style, stripped and waxed; with stepped moulded and decorated shelf, the centre tablet vigorously carved with swags of full open flowers hanging from windblown, knotted ribbons and falling down the sides. The flanking side panels with lush scrolling acanthus. The moulded eared surround of the opening with more carved flowers
