About the Item

An English neoclassical pine fireplace. The centre blocking with carved urn and drapery, flanked by oval paterae and fluting. The tapering legs with tied ribbons and bellflowers, with Greek key detailing to base. Carved acanthus leaves to inner moulding. The shelf with dentils and carved moulding above, 19th century. (Photo prior to restoration which is included in price.)
