A 19th century French Louis XVI style Carrara marble fireplace. The panelled frieze with torch and quiver to centre, carved wreaths and draped flowers. The scrolled jambs with tied ribbons and foliage with guilloche motif below. The end blocks with carved paterae or floral form. Panelled outgrounds. Moulded, breakfronted shelf. Measures: Shelf width - 1585 mm / 62 3/8 in. Overall height - 1060 mm / 41 3/4 in. Opening height - 815 mm / 32 1/8 in. Opening width - 1140 mm / 44 7/8 in. Depth of shelf - 420 mm / 16 1/2 in. Overall Plinths - 1535 mm / 60 3/8 in.
