Unusual Hooded Firegrate

About the Item

An rare and fine quality hooded firegrate, cast iron with engraved brass detailing. Arts and crafts, late 19th/early 20th century. Can we adapted to work with a flue liner so can be very effective in fireplace with draw/smoking issues. Measures: Width at front: 647 mm 25 ½" Width a back: 640 mm 25 ¼" Height: 674 mm 26 ½" Depth: 583 mm 23".
