Willy Guhl for Eternit Cone Concrete Planter in Burgundy, circa 1968, Signed

About the Item

An incredible designer on-trend architectural concrete cone planter by Swiss architect Willy Guhl for Eternit, circa 1968 Switzerland. This cone shaped concrete planter has a patinated burgundy red exterior finish. Consider using this as a bird-feeder or bird-bath, a sculptural art piece or a pot for succulents, weeping grass or plants. Signed on the inside near edge. We have a large collection of Willy Guhl for Eternit pots, planters, garden objects, jardinières, and patio furniture. We always have inventory in Diablo's, Tilted and Cone Planters, box and rectangular Guhl's and more. Original Guhls, like these, were made with asbestos, therefore we advise only using outside or in a well ventilated room. While other dealers don't usually disclose this - we would rather you be safe than sorry. Consider using in a Architectural, Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish modern garden or penthouse apartment balcony but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism setting. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco space with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as an outdoor hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office balcony. Condition: Sturdy and structurally sound. Has light to medium patina throughout from decades of organic aging. Excellent examples for a collector or designer. Measurements: Height 7" x diameter 14.5".
