A Rare pair of Art Deco Rattan Arm Chairs, American, circa 1929 by the Heywood Wakefield Co,Gardner, Ma.These rattan chairs are also known as stick wicker and described as modernistic in their 1929 Heywood Wakefield Furniture catalogue. These beautifully designed pieces are in excellent condition and done in a beautiful natural finish. The cushion fabrics are Sunbrella fabric done in a summery styling of traditional blue, yellow and green stripe design and they too are in excellent condition. These chairs are large and comfortable, the larger of the two having a rare and unusual magazine arm side pocket.These chairs are very comfortable with a contemporary styling and are extremely quite handsome in the natural finish.! These are the perfect chairs for porches, garden rooms and basically any room in the house! The large stationary recliner measures: 34"Ht. x 32" W x 41" D. x 18" seat Ht. The matching arm chair: 31" ht x 28" W. x 38" D. x 16" seat ht.
