Pair of French Cast Stone Columns or Pillars from a Normandy Garden
This pair of cast stone columns or pillars from the mid-20th century originally graced the gardens of a manor house in Normandy, France. Motifs of classical figures surround the base of the columns with interlaced rosettes above. A false pair, one column has a scalloped motif above the square plinth base and the other, a lattice pattern. These beautiful columns with their aged patina would welcome visitors to any garden, and at 29 inches in height, they could also accommodate a glass, wooden, or stone top to create a unique console table, circa 1940.
