This elegant Italian pedestal is hewn from a striking piece of Rouge de France marble. Quarried only in France, Rouge de France marble has been hotly sought-after since ancient times for the highly varied, vibrant colors and patterns that naturally occur in the stone. A cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste for centuries, many important monuments, objets d’art and masterpieces have been crafted from this fine, scarlet-hued marble.
