Large Pair of Mediterranean Terracotta Storage Vessels

About the Item

Large pair of weathered Mediterranean terracotta storage vessels with an exceptional timeworn surface and softly rounded barrel-form silhouette. Featuring traces of layered pale olive, chalky cream, and warm earthen undertones over hand-thrown terracotta bodies, each vessel displays beautifully irregular patina developed over decades of age and use. The gently tapering forms are accented with subtle banded detailing and wide rolled rims, giving the pair a wonderfully sculptural presence. Equally striking indoors or in the garden, these antique vessels work beautifully flanking an entryway, planted with olive trees or orchids, or displayed as standalone decorative objects. Richly textured and highly decorative from every angle. Sold as a pair. Wear consistent with age and use, including surface losses, mineral deposits, and beautifully aged patination throughout.
