Rare 500-600 year old sandstone relief statue of Saraswati, the goddess of speech, arts, music, knowledge and mind power.
Original in three parts mounted on light sandstone base.
Originates from Arakan, a coastal geographic region in southern Myanmar (Burma), circa 1400-1600.
Exceptionally good condition with natural age-related patina.
Provenance from private collection.
