Pair of beautiful limestone urns from late 18th century. The cylindrical everted rim is above a band of deer heads above a gadrooned band, on a circular foot and square base. Acquired from Ron Howard Estate in Greenwich, Connecticut. Sotheby's Bilinghurst appraisal of $12,000 for the pair, May 26, 2011. 21" diameter at top, 24.5" tall, base is 15.5" x 15.5". Urns have extensive weathering due to age, but in good condition.
