Pair of Monumental 20th Century Terra Cotta Garden Urns

About the Item

Pair of monumental terra cotta garden urns, circa 1970-1990. Classic architectural "soufflé" urn form with soft cylindrical silhouette and thick rolled rim. The surface is the selling point: pale aqua-blue base with heavy brown/black speckling, erosion, and crazing throughout. The close-ups show weathering - glaze worn away revealing layers of cream, sand, and limestone aggregate underneath. These are heavy architectural garden urns, not decorative pots. At 20-22" diameter they read as statement pieces flanking entry doors, gates, or lining a driveway. The pale aqua + cream + brown tones work with French country, Mediterranean, Neoclassical, and modern organic interiors. Sold as a matching pair with natural variation in speckling that proves vintage origin.
