Antique Chamberlain's Worcester Porcelain Botanical Basket with Sea Shell Border

About the Item

Antique Chamberlain Worcester Porcelain Basket with Sea Shell Border, circa 1835-40. The Chamberlain porcelain fan basket with a white handle enhanced with gilt has a molded body with shaped ridges alternatively colored with stripes of blue and gold. The interior of the basket has scattered flowers including roses. The raised border has applied realistic sea shells, coral, and seaweed. Mark: Stamped in red with Royal standards and below Chamberlain/Worcester/155 New Bond Street/Royal Porcelain Manufacturers. Dimensions: 6 inches length x 2 1/2 inches deep x 4 inches high (15.24 cm long x 6.35 cm deep x 110.16 cm high) (NY8120B-ur).
