George III Antique Silver Basket, 1802

About the Item

An impressive George III period silver basket of open-work construction made at the turn of the 19th century. The elegant round flared body is of drawn wire construction and beautifully decorated with cast and applied silver bunches of grapes and swirling grapevines. The silver basket's rim is reeded.
