About the Item
An exceptionally well hand painted identical pair French Sevres style hard paste porcelain circular cabinet plates, last half of the nineteenth century.
The central reserve with a hand painting depicting a romantic couple in Landscapes wearing period dress. Both within decorative scroll gilding and large segments of still life of flowers decoration with outlined lavish gilding on Celeste blue ground.
Condition: These pieces have had "gentle" use, no restoration or losses, some wear to gilding surrounds. Base marks as shown.
Measure: Diameter: 9” (23cm).
