Fratelli Toso Murano Opal Pink Aventurine Swirl Italian Art Glass Center Bowl
About the Item
Large and gorgeous, vintage Murano hand blown opalescent Italian art glass centerpiece bowl in pink and aventurine swirls. Documented to the Fratelli Toso Company, in the "Apparenza" design, also called "Starry Night" by collectors. The design has been published in the company book. The bowl has a scalloped rim. The inside of the bowl has a pink and heavy copper aventurine swirl abstract pattern. The aventurine dust glitters in any light. There are hints of blue from the opal glass, red, copper, pink, all swirling together in a beautiful design. When placed on a dark background I really lights up! Would make a great display piece on any dinning table, credenza or console table. Showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures: 12 1/2" long x 12" wide x 3" high.
