Guido Gambo Center Bowl

About the Item

Stunning glazed earthenware bowl made by the Italian ceramicist Guido Gambone. Seldom seen at this monumental size, it would make a beautiful, functional centerpiece bowl. Distinctive, striped pattern at the organic rim, where translucent purple glaze gracefully drips over citron-yellow sides. Striking decor in contrasting yellow and purple with an incised geometric pattern at center. In pristine condition, with no chips or cracks. Signed with the artist's signature donkey at the bottom. Italy, 1950s.
