About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown orange, controlled bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass flower basket / vase. The piece is documented to designer Alfredo Barbini and published in his catalog, circa 1950-1960. There are 2 handles pulled up to the center, curled and holding a gold flecked ball. The entire piece is profusely covered in gold leaf, that clings to each bubble. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, desk or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, or fill it with flowers. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era.
Measures: 6 3/4" tall x 6 1/4" long x 4" wide.

Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
