An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V Scottish sterling silver and glass hors d'oeuvre set; an addition to our silver cruet and condiments collection These exceptional antique George V Scottish sterling silver hors d'oeuvre dishes have an circular form. The subtly faceted glass body of each dish features a plain elevated handpiece to either side. Each antique dish is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver cover, surmounted with a plain rounded handle to the centre. These exceptional antique dishes sit to the original sterling silver plates/trays. Each plate is plain and unembellished, with a plain raised rounded border. Each dish retains the Hamilton & Inches London sterling silver hors d'oeurve fork, each with an incurved heel below the two curvilinear tines. These impressive dishes are fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior and securing with a push fit catch. The interior of the cover bears the retailer's mark 'By Appointment, Hamilton & Inches, 88 Princes Street, Edinburgh'. Condition These antique sterling silver and glass hors d'oeuvre dishes are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The original glass vessels are in perfect condition. The original box is also in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each cover and plate, in addition to the reverse of each fork are all very clear.
