French Copper Pot

About the Item

A sizable antique copper pot, equipped with a forged iron handle that can be used to suspend the vessel over a fire. The pot has a hammered exterior that gives the antique a styled finish. The copper has patinated wonderfully, with some verdigris present. Although this interesting antique has a culinary purpose, it is not strictly relegated to the kitchen: it will make an excellent place to store firewood / kindling or use it as a cachepot for your favorite potted plant! The handles extend 4-?” out from each side. Circa 1840.
