$3,850

About

Exquisite Japanese contemporary decorative porcelain charger, extraordinarily intricately hand-painted on a stunning square shaped porcelain body in elegant shades of blue and green, a signed masterpiece by widely respected award-winning Japanese master porcelain artist. He is a second-generation master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of southern Japan and is widely known for his miniature portrayal of historical scenes combined with intricate geometric patterns, in exceptional details. The artist's profile is available upon request. This extraordinary decorative plate showcases a breathtaking scene of great white egrets wading in a heavily shaded river with their nuptial plumes on full display. The movement of water is artistically represented in amazing details by alternating different shades of underglaze blue and the use of outlines in gold.
