Japanese Contemporary Yellow Blue Orange Porcelain Charger by Master Artist

$8,250

About

Extraordinary Japanese contemporary large decorative porcelain charger, hand painted in vivid yellow, orange and blue, a signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed award-winning master porcelain artist in polychrome overglazed enamelling. This mesmerizing design was inspired by the story of a survivor, that after Fukushima tsunami in Japan in 2011 the first flower to bloom was a sunflower. This artist has perfected this technique to create porcelain with stunning colors and is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his extraordinary work and his unique contributions to this centuries old art. His profile is available upon request. The artist's signature style is a fascinating interpretation of polychrome overglazed enameling. He has a unique relationship with nature creating stunning landscapes on porcelain with flowers in vivid colors swaying with the wind. His painstaking “drip painting” technique is designed to bring a subtly raised feel to flowers coming alive, expressed in bold vibrant colors. This mesmerizing charger showcases bold luminous sunflowers in vivid yellow and foliage in vibrant blue and green with gold details that cover the entire surface set against an on iron-red background representing sunset. An intricate design in blue decorates the rim, while a stylized flower pattern in blue underglaze adorns the back. The striking shape, the exquisite flowers, the vivid colors and the moving story behind it, make this a truly exceptional and memorable piece. This exceptional large porcelain charger comes with a custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: D 16 in, H 3 in.
