1890s Heavy Industrial Box Trolley

About the Item

1890s heavy industrial box trolley. We were recently contacted about the clearance of an old textile mill West of Leeds, the mill had stopped working as a textile mill many years ago and was now refurbishing electronic components. Hidden at the back of one of the workshops we found a group of the original mill equipment, workbenches, storage boxes and so on. This heavy trolley was part of the haul, it would have run on rails through the mill and was also fitted with forged steel lifting hooks so it could be craned off/on the rails. The trolley was probably used for coal transport to feed the mill boilers. Workshop Report Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
