Antique English Enamel and Silver Lidded Jar - 1912

About the Item

A superb small vaniy jar or pill box made from glass and topped with an English sterling silver collar and hinged lid which is decorated with a white guilloche enamel top surrounding a central cabochon agate stone. The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1912, a true antique over 100 years old. The makers mark is also present for the well renowned English silversmith, Levi and Salaman. The front has a silver lift to aide opening which is inset with a small cabochon red stone, perhaps a garnet.
