Antique French Wrought Iron Chest Wine Storage Rack for 28 Bottles

About the Item

FRENCH WROUGHT-IRON DOMED CHEST WINE STORAGE RACK Circa late 19th/early 20th century; for storing 28 bottles Item # 209GJY07K A fantastic and rather unusual wrought-iron wine storage rack styled as a domed chest, it features wide shaped straps welded to curved and squared bar with curled iron elements throughout. The front of the chest retains an early lock and key, opening and dropping down on hanging chains to give access to the 28 bottles of wine that can be stored inside. It retains a wonderful early surface with chaotic oxidization and the effects of rust throughout the overall green and blue-ish patina. Circa the late 19th to early 20th century. Measurements: 23" H x 14 1/2" D x 28 7/8" W Condition Report: In as-found rough antique condition with untouched surfaces, but remains incredibly strong and ready for centuries of use; rust and oxidisation throughout; surface can be sand-blasted and powder-coated upon request: contact us for a quote and estimate on timing. • Antique Wrought-Iron and Leather Savonarola Chair, early 20th century
    Located in Shippensburg, PA
POLYCHROMED WROUGHT-IRON AND SADDLE-LEATHER SAVONAROLA CHAIR With cerule form, probably early 20th century Item # 311ESB30P ** Sold individually, but we may have up to 4 of these chairs available ** A very compelling form, this classical "Savonarola" chair is crafted entirely by hand using forged iron that shows every trace of the blacksmith's work throughout the surface. They are in a cerule form with hammered spade feet, the legs joined with a central pivot point at the center of each cyma-curvature, this joint decorated with a wonderful iron rosette on both the front and back. The seat and seat-back are slung with leather that is affixed with rawhide lacing, the seat-back decorated with two beautifully formed finials with ruby-red and part gilt highlights to the surface. These are being sold individually, but we acquired these as a set of four and may still have several available. The images are of only one of the four chairs, but they are all identical in overall condition and form. Measurements: 33 1/2" H x 18 3/8" D x 26" W; 19 1/4" H to seat Condition Report: Distressed wrought-iron with loss to polychroming and part gilding throughout; incredibly strong and stable; leather is modern and in good condition with only minor wear. Located in Shippensburg, PA
MODERNIST PATINATED WROUGHT-IRON AND GLASS COFFEE TABLE French, circa 1950s unmarked Item # 401RGG02P-2 A captivating modernist table from the 1950s, this piece is versatile, ideal as either a side table next to a low sofa or chair, or as a coffee or cocktail table. • French Modernist Gilded Wrought-Iron & Glass Coffee Accent Table ca. 1950s
    Located in Shippensburg, PA
MODERNIST GILDED WROUGHT-IRON AND GLASS COFFEE TABLE French, circa 1950s unmarked Item # 401RGG02P-1 An endlessly interesting modernist accent table from the 1950s, it works perfectly both as a side table beside a low sofa or chair or as a coffee or cocktail table. The diminutive stature of the table allows it to be a part of the room without dominating at all, adding texture and visual interest with the brilliantly textured gilt patina while having a great deal of negative space that makes the table feel light, airy and relaxed. The 3/8" thick (and brand new) glass top is set into tiny grooves in the legs, each with a single twisted iron ring hanging from the top with a gentle curved profile that terminates in a stubbed sabot. Ready to place. We acquired this together with a matched pair to this that is almost identical in size but is a simple black patination instead of having the gilt surface on the wrought iron; contact us if you would like to know about the other table. Measurements: 19 1/8" H x 29 5/8" diameter Condition Report: Glass is brand new 3/8" thick tempered clear glass; table in very good condition, light wear to gilding and overall patina in a few spots, incredibly sturdy and solid. A fine ready-to-place presentation. About silla antiques...
