Art Deco Signed Bronze and Silver Plate Hinged Box Desk Accessory
About the Item
This lovely, handsome vintage and well-made heavy box from Silver Crest Co. is hallmarked on the bottom genuine silver crest bronze SMA 518-36, 59. It borders Art Deco and 1940s. The interior is the original wood color, we have not altered that. This makes a great desk accessory or for a cocktail table. It is professionally polished. The corners are rounded and the hinge to open and the bar on the top is silver plated, as original. Silver crest was a very fine manufacturer of metals from the time period. One can always engrave their initials with a jeweler on the top bar that is silver plate if one chooses.
