Carved Italian Casket

About the Item

Antique turn of the century carved Italian mahogany casket in the style of a tomb with scrolls, acanthus leaves, bellflowers and a punch work background with winged griffons on the sides. The corners include an oval shield with scrolls at the top and base. The lower molding conceals a hidden drawer lined with moire silk and a mirror on the lid. The box is sitting on pan feet.
